A free website generator. On purpose, it's nothing special.

Small businesses pay thousands for websites that took one template. Build the template yourself in five minutes, then judge any quote against it.

No account. No AI. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.

What you get for nothing

  • A tidy one-to-five-page site: home, about, services, gallery, contact.
  • Your name, logo, colours and words dropped into a stock layout.
  • It works on phones. Every template does now.
  • A ZIP you can double-click to open, or drag onto a free host.

What it's missing

  • A contact form that sends anything.
  • Anything that helps people find you on Google.
  • Booking, payments, menus, or anything specific to your business.
  • Someone who asked what the site is for.

That second list is what you pay a developer for. If a quote doesn't cover it, you're paying for the first list.

Ten examples, built with nothing else

A bakery, a plumber, a tattoo studio, an amateur theatre group and six more. Every one has two big photographs on the home page, a gallery and a price list, which is most of what people mean by "custom design". Each took about five minutes.

How it works

  1. Answer a few questionsYour name, what you do, and a layout, colours and fonts from a short list. Every step can be skipped.
  2. See it, then see what's missingA live preview, and a Reality Check that lists what a real developer should add and what to ask them.
  3. Download the ZIPPlain HTML and CSS, the same thing a template site gives you. Keep it, host it, or use it to haggle.

Why this exists.

People who don't build websites have nothing to compare a quote against. This gives them the comparison. It also sets a bar for the people who do: if you want to call yourself a developer, you have to do better than what's given away here for free.
